Local Police
Approximately fifty automobiles have been covered with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the German municipality of Hanau near Frankfurt, according to law enforcement.
Vehicles, walls and mailboxes were marked, sometimes with prohibited symbols, they stated in a release.
Police state they were alerted in the late hours on Wednesday night, when a resident noticed that a automobile in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been smeared with a red-colored liquid.
The liquid had been drawn in the shape of a swastika, they reported.
Police then found numerous other smeared vehicles and house walls in the surrounding area.
Nazi symbols are illegal in Germany under regulations outlawing the public display of Nazi-era symbols.
Officials report initial examinations suggest the liquid was likely human blood.
"There is still no lead as to its source; authorities are presently not cognizant of any injuries in association with the event," they added.
City officials announced they were attempting "to resolve the case" and have asked to the public for details.
An important representative commented the vandalism made him stunned and required to be solved promptly.
"This incident strikes at the core of Hanau and revives the pain of the extremist terrorist attack in 2020," he stated on online, referring to the murder of nine victims by a shooter aiming at individuals of immigrant origin in 2020.
